Mindful Movement at The Wellness Station

To maintain health and wellness, it is important to have a consistent movement practice. This may mean something different to everyone- perhaps a daily walk, yoga, a group exercise class, lifting weights at the gym. Regardless of what your movement practice is, it is likely that the pandemic has affected your ability to carry out this practice consistently. Rather than letting this situation negatively impact your health, take advantage of the time at home by joining us for one of our mindful movement practices that we are offering over Zoom! Throughout June, we will be continuing our livestream class series.

Breakout Yoga: Tuesdays 5:30pm EST. What if we took the mindfulness of a typical yoga class and brought it to the next level? Breakout yoga is a brand new fusion of Feldenkrais and yoga, designed to help you gain a new creative edge in your fitness and daily life. Taught by Paul McAndrew, PT, GCFP, Breakout yoga brings unique variations and finesse to classic yoga postures. This class is creative, stimulating, and both mentally and physically challenging! 💪🧠

Awareness Through Movement (ATM): Mondays & Thursdays 10am EST, also taught by Paul McAndrew. Movement lessons for whole body healing and health using Feldenkrais Method; each class is different and unique. We will be continuing the theme of “No more neck, shoulder, or back pain” on Mondays, and “No more hip or knee pain” on Thursdays. This intelligent movement practice is physically gentle yet cognitively challenging, and will refine your movements in your daily life. Great for improving mind-body awareness and supporting longevity of our joints and other structures!
